Annotations
- Are unambigiously located by start and end positions relative to the reference sequence
- Can use any level entry-point (transparent conversion)
- Preferred to keep annotation in smallest unit (e.g. clone or contig id)
- Have a unique ID on the annotation server
- Have further structured information that describes nature and attributes
- Have an optional link to another (web) resource
