Two layers: task-specific layer and information-specific layer.
T-Assistants perform particular task for user: e.g. arranging appointments and meetings with other task-specific agents. They coordinate and schedule plans based on context, collaborate to resolve conflicts and to integrate information. Information is gathered from the I-A’s (level 2).
T-A ‘knows’: a model of task-domain, knowledge of how to perform the task, knowledge how to get the information, knowledge of other agents it should collaborate with, protocols for communications, strategies for conflict resolution and information fusion
I-A ‘knows’: types of databases, how to access the databases, conflict resolution and information fusion, protocols to communicate with other agents
