Thomas Schlitt

PhD Student

E-mail: schlitt@ebi.ac.uk

In January 2000 I joined the EBI as a PhD student. I am working in the Industry Group on Generegulatory Networks.

In 1999 I finished my Diploma in Biology at the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen, Germany.

I did my Diploma thesis at the Institute of Genetics working on the expression pattern of Alien in mice. Alien is a corepressor which can bind eg. to the thyroid hormone receptor in absence of thyorid hormone. In presence of hormone the corepressor is replaced by a coactivator, thus switching on the regulated gene.
