E-mail: katerina@ebi.ac.uk

Hi, my name is Katerina Tzouvara and I'm coming from Athens, Greece.  I joined the EBI in October 1999 as a Database Programmer for the Database Applications Group. I'm currently working on WEBIN,  the WWW sequence submission software  for the EMBL database.

I moved to England in October 1992 to study Biological and Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Essex in Colchester. At the same university I obtained a research MSc in Computational Biological Chemistry. During my MSc I worked on the application of singular value decomposition (SVD) on biochemical systems developing software, in FORTRAN 77, Matlab and Visual Basic 4. After my studies, I joined the Bioscience I.T. Services of the BBSRC, in Harpenden, as an Applications Programmer working mainly on client-server software using C/C++ but also developing small applications using Tcl/Tk and Visual C++. "
