DynaFit -- analysis of biochemical data

Introduction

The main purpose of the program DynaFit is to perform nonlinear least-squares regression of chemical kinetic, enzyme kinetic, or ligand-receptor binding data. The experimental data can be either initial reaction velocities in dependence on the concentration of varied species (e.g., inhibitor concentration vs. velocity), or the reaction progress curves (e.g., time vs. absorbance). Documentation exists mainly on the BioKin website. The strongest part of the documentation is a collection of test problems. Some tutorials are actually a small research papers. Most recently an on-line tutorial concerning the thrombin/hirudin interactions has been added.

What's new

DynaFit executable files (PowerMac, DOSbox under Win31,Win95,WinNT) were updated to version 2.16[f]. Improvements were made in the module for automatic determination of confidence intervals for rate constants.

Availability

DynaFit is available freely at BioKin's web server; example files can also be downloaded.
