		About the 'BioInformer' The 'BioInformer' (ISSN 1462-1363) is a quarterly newsletter providing news and information about the growing field of bioinformatics. Initially, the idea was to use this newsletter to disseminate information and progress reports about the EBI Industry Support Programme to the Industry Partners. Later, it was decided to use this occasion to provide news about bioinformatics in general but focused on the Industry Support Programme, bioinformatics research at EBI and news that is of general interest to the bioinformatics community (like symposia, workshops and hot issues). Sending in material Material for this newsletter is always welcome. Announcements of workshops and meetings, relevant articles about bioinformatics issues, announcements of public domain software: all can be send to the address at the bottom of this page. Right to publish has been granted to BioInformer in those cases where authors are not affiliated to EMBL-EBI.
